really left anyway

last few days bit o job
bit o self
bit o this n that
growth n pain
visit to the dr for the inevitable blood test results et cetera
seems i'm alive
little over weight
over stressed
over it!
so i need to chill
eat better
walk more
riding even betta
nothing new
i'm hoping the new job
is a new life
and its up to me to make it so

stress abounds at the salt mine this week
i let the cat outta d bag a little early
telling my class and their parents
i was leaving
without going through the right stuff but...
oh well
i'm letting it go
today
whole family out for brekkie at the fave cafe
long macs n babycinos n eggs all round
then education super store to purchase
reading help for the young prince
(who is at age 5 is
having major dislikes of school n
the whole system
but more of that another day)
then the worldwide swedish design store for cashless furniture
shopping with rest of perth it seemed
past da library
n home
to you freends

the whirlwind of life just pushes us on
i feel it today
so many things i feel pressure to do n be
but
to stop doesn't seem an option
getting off the roller coaster
hard
if not impossible
so
the thin line returns
you must be sick of this theme
live in the mystery the moment mayhem
walk between culture n counterculture
love it all
embrace not divide
see with new eyes

and take my bp tablets!

Mad Men 101

Thanks to a conservative blog for peace I have become quite intrigued by with US series “Mad men”. For most Australians this is quite an unknown program, the second series being premiered this Sunday night on specialized broadcaster SBS, leaving us well behind the US which is currently airing the fourth series. For those who don’t know, Mad Men takes place in the early 1960’s, varying its setting between the main characters Advertising office workspace, their homes and social lives. As the series progresses we discover that the characters are not at all what they seem, both outwardly and inwardly, as we journey with them through the historical events and changing social patterns which have influenced so much of our modern culture. It is this historical element which captured me. The ways husbands, wives and children inter-related. The constant smoking and drinking. The more relaxed pace of life. Infidelity and the subsequent risks and consequences. Psycho-analysis just beginning
